An independent but unnamed European official confirmed the authenticity of the mentioned document.
️It shows that trinitrotoluene (TNT), ammunition, and drone parts are being supplied to Iran from Russia via the Caspian Sea.
The Caspian Sea, which has no access to open waters, borders five countries: Russia, Iran, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, and Azerbaijan. Since Western naval forces, including the US Navy, do not operate in these waters, they cannot stop the shipment of cargo between these two allies.

It is reported that Moscow began supplying these components as the war in Iran approaches the six-month mark, and its ally Iran has directed hundreds of its missiles and drones at US military bases in the region, US allies’ infrastructure, and has killed at least 18 American soldiers.
In response, US and Israeli forces have repeatedly shelled Iranian companies producing missiles, drones, and explosives.
️As NBC noted, transfers continued or resumed after Israeli strikes on the Bandar Anzali port complex on Iran’s northern coast, which, according to Israeli data, was used for weapons transit between Russia and Iran.
️Despite the risk that such information could enrage the United States, it shows a deepening strategic alliance between Moscow and Tehran, the article notes.

Both countries are embroiled in separate wars, but they have strengthened cooperation in fighting their common enemy – the United States.

15min reminds that in the early years of Russia’s war against Ukraine, military cooperation between Moscow and Tehran mostly went the other way. Iran sent “Shahed” type attack drones to Russia and transferred technologies to organize their production.
Later, Moscow essentially modernized the Iranian design and began mass production of such drones itself.
️In March, the Financial Times, citing Western intelligence data, also reported that Russia is sending drones to Iran. The publication called this the first evidence that since the start of the war, Moscow has been providing Tehran with lethal military aid. Russia also provided Iran with satellite images, intelligence data, and targeting information so its forces could more accurately strike US targets.
After two months, the US and Iran signed a 60-day ceasefire, which was extended for another two months in August.
As The Wall Street Journal (WSJ) writes, the Iranian authorities decided to use the pause in military actions to prepare for a new phase of the war and replenish their weapons stockpiles.
According to the article, Tehran’s main goal is to inflict enough damage on the US and Israel to prevent massive strikes on their territory.
