Serbas confirmed this to the „Sport Klub“ portal.
„I am ending my career. For the next two years, I will work as an assistant coach for „Zvezda“. During that time, I will complete coaching school. And then, who knows, new challenges will await,“ commented N.Kalinić.
The 202 cm tall forward started his career back in 2010–2011 with the „Novi Sad“ team.

In 2014–2015, N.Kalinić joined the Belgrade „Crvena zvezda“ team, and from 2015 to 2020 he represented Istanbul’s „Fenerbahçe“, spent 2020–2021 with „Valencia“, and returned to „Crvena zvezda“ in 2021–2022.
He spent 2022–2024 with „Barcelona“, and from 2024 to 2026 the Serbian ended his career at Belgrade’s „Red Star“.
In the last EuroLeague season, N.Kalinić averaged 5.8 points, 3.5 rebounds, and 1.8 assists in 23 minutes per game.

His most successful personal season in the EuroLeague was 2021–2022. Then, with „Crvena zvezda“, he averaged 12.6 points, 3.9 rebounds, and 3.4 assists.
Besides playing club basketball, N.Kalinić represented the Serbian men’s national basketball team. Having represented his country since 2013, the forward won a silver medal at the 2014 World Championship and another silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics.
