Angelika Petrauskaitė-Angelou’s concert is already the third event in this summer’s concert series “Palanga Park Evenings.” The performer did not appear on stage alone – she was accompanied by pianist Benas Kukenys and supported by vocalists Milėja and Džesika. Speaking about the colleagues who joined her, Angelou revealed that although a musical friendship had already formed with each of them, this was the first time they held an acoustic concert with this lineup.

“Benas and I have been playing acoustic concerts since 2022, and I have been working with Milėja and Džesika for half a year now, but this is the first time all of us have been on stage together for an acoustic concert. The more of us on stage, the stronger the support I feel, so I hope this is not the last time; we will continue this tradition and perform together in acoustic concerts again,” said Angelou.

The singer, who held the last concert of this year by the seaside, did not hide her admiration not only for the concert atmosphere but also for the unique location. Angelou, originally from Klaipėda, said that while living by the seaside, she spent a lot of time in Palanga, so all performances in this region always evoke a kind of feeling of coming home for her.

“A very enjoyable concert, after which only the best emotions remained. We performed in this place for the first time, and it was even more beautiful than I imagined. For me personally, performing on the terrace of the Palanga Amber Museum, in front of the view of Birutė Park’s rose garden, is very magical. I feel in Palanga similarly to Klaipėda because I used to spend a lot of time here while living there. So, undoubtedly, there is a feeling that I am close to home, and it is always good to perform by the seaside,” Angelou shared her impressions after stepping off the stage.

This concert was special for the singer also because an acoustic performance moment was recorded. The filming took place live, so there was no opportunity to repeat failed shots, and everything had to succeed on the first take. Because of this, Angelou admitted that it added extra excitement, but the pianist and vocalists on stage made her feel more confident.
“The fact that you know the performance is being filmed and everything has to work out in one take adds even more excitement. However, I had strong support on stage, so I felt freer, more comfortable, and was less shy than I expected in such a situation. Now we are eagerly awaiting the filmed material and hope to share it with everyone very soon,” Angelou revealed.

Contributing to the joy of the resort residents and guests this summer with the “Palanga Park Evenings” concert series are the partners of the concert cycle. One of them is “CBet,” which supports cultural initiatives and live music evenings. According to the company’s marketing manager, participating in such events is a great opportunity to be closer to people, share good emotions, and create memorable summer moments together.
“We are happy to contribute to ‘Palanga Park Evenings’ – events that bring people together on summer evenings in the historic space of Palanga and provide an opportunity to enjoy live music by Lithuanian performers. It’s nice to be part of an initiative that creates beautiful emotions and memorable summer moments,” said Evaldas Magelinskas, marketing manager of “CBet.”
The concert series calendar of “Palanga Park Evenings” includes two more wonderful acoustic performances. The group “8 Kambarys” invites everyone to celebrate the Feast of the Assumption together, and Vaidas Baumila will close the event week on Sunday.
