„Bild“ reports that the recorded trace matches the one found after the incident at the DHL logistics center in Leipzig in July 2024.
During that period, four shipments were sent from Lithuania to the United Kingdom (UK) and Poland. Two of the four shipments with incendiary devices were sent via DHL: one caught fire in Germany, at Leipzig airport, the other in a warehouse in the UK.
Charges related to the incendiary devices sent abroad via parcel services have been brought against Lithuanian citizen Aleksandras Šuranovas, Ukrainian citizens Vadym Borsuk and Vasiliy Kovach, Daniil Yents, who holds dual Russian and Lithuanian citizenship, and Russian citizen Eldar Salmanov.
This case is being heard by the Vilnius District Court.
It is noted that the drone with the explosive appeared in Leipzig on August 4 – almost at the same time as Philippe Bauer, senior director of security network operations support in Europe responsible for DHL security, testified at a court hearing in Vilnius on August 3.

Last week, a drone with explosives was found near a Ukrainian cargo plane at Leipzig/Halle Airport in eastern Germany, and another aircraft in the air collided with an unidentified object and was slightly damaged.
Leipzig/Halle Airport is the base of the Ukrainian airline Antonov Airlines. It is also one of the most important cargo hubs in Europe and is important for military logistics. Among other things, military cargo of the German armed forces and NATO allies is transported through this airport.
