Lithuanian airports saw a 9% increase in passengers this year, reaching 4.4 million.

Record passenger flows have been recorded every month this year, LTOU announced on Monday.

“The fact that each month of this year so far is becoming a record shows not a random jump, but a consistent growth trend. Our goal is to ensure, together with partners, that the residents of Lithuania have more and more convenient travel opportunities, and that the country’s accessibility internationally continues to strengthen,” said the acting head of LTOU, Gintarė Norvilaitė-Tautevičė, in a statement.

Vilnius Airport served 3.15 million passengers in 7 months – 10.6% more, Kaunas – 974 thousand, or 5.9% more, Palanga – 256 thousand, or 3.9% more, the company told BNS.

In July alone, the three airports served 755.7 thousand passengers – 9.7% more than a year ago: in Vilnius their flow grew by 11.6% to 550 thousand, in Kaunas – 4.3% to 160.7 thousand, in Palanga – 7.3% to 45 thousand.

In July, 86 flight routes were offered to passengers: from Vilnius Airport – 54, Kaunas – 26, and Palanga – 6.

At the same time, 5.5% more flights were served in seven months – 35.6 thousand, and in July alone – 8.3% more – 5.7 thousand: in Vilnius – 25.5 thousand (6.9% more), in Kaunas – 7.23 thousand (6.7%), in Palanga – 2.87 thousand (4.5%).

BNS wrote that in 2025 Lithuanian airports served almost 7.16 million passengers – 8.3% more than in 2024.
