The campaign, whose slogan is “Don’t be indifferent,” was organized by the Polish civic movement “Committee for the Defense of Democracy” (KOD).
According to the organizers, the demonstrations were intended to respond to the increasing verbal and physical attacks against people because of their origin, language, or appearance.
They also aimed to show solidarity with Ukrainians and other minorities experiencing violence and discrimination.

KOD chairman Jakub Karyś said that Ukrainians have become an important part of Polish society and added that violence against them is unacceptable.
