In the forests of the area known as the Alaska Triangle, more than 20,000 people have disappeared. Some believe paranormal phenomena may be to blame. This mysterious region, the northernmost in North America, forms an almost perfect triangle connecting three cities – Anchorage to the south, Utqiagvik to the north, and Juneau to the southeast.
The public first learned about this phenomenon in October 1972, when a small passenger plane suddenly disappeared while en route from Anchorage to Juneau.
Neither the passengers nor the wreckage of the plane were ever found, despite a search covering 840,000 square kilometers.
After that, several more planes crashed and vacationers disappeared.
Since 1988 alone, more than 16,000 people have disappeared in the so-called Alaska Triangle.
