At noon, colorful decorated boats began their route from Mindaugas to the White Bridge. Meanwhile, spectators gathered on the quay for a pink procession accompanied by music and dancing.

We remind you that this weekend the “Vilnius Pink Soup Fest” returned to the capital. For the first time, the festival invites you to watch the cold beetroot soup parade floating on the Neris River, try the slide from the White Bridge, dress up in festive costumes, and of course, eat cold beetroot soup. The festival weekend was opened on Friday evening at the Town Hall Square.
The festival weekend began on Friday, May 29, with a new “Pink Break” initiative, which at 12 o’clock invited city residents and visitors of Vilnius to sit down simultaneously for a communal pink lunch. It can take place in the office, yard, rooftop, park, or any other place where a bowl of cold beetroot soup and good company fit.
In the evening, at 7 p.m., the official festival opening took place at Town Hall Square, featuring musical performances and a comedy show.
