So, for some weekend in July, I had plane tickets to Gdansk. Gdansk is great, in my opinion, it is one of the most beautiful cities in Poland and definitely worth visiting. I just suggest visiting in the summer, because you know how winter is. Then everywhere is not nice. Unless you are going skiing, but I don’t do that, so winter is bad everywhere for me. And of course, summer in Gdansk is good because it is a seaside city – you will enjoy not only the beautiful city but also the beaches.
Also, very close by is one of Poland’s most popular resorts, Sopot, where if you don’t like the city (Gdansk is not only beautiful but also big), you can find the true resort atmosphere. Go there, don’t be lazy, it will be a bit cheaper than Palanga. If you don’t want to fly and commit to specific dates, you can spontaneously go by car. You will have to drive all day, but what is a day in the context of life? A drop in the ocean.
