„This Sunday will be the last working day of the X store operating in Vilnius at Minties St. 58. We are closing it permanently due to the decreasing customer flow, who prefer the two X Maxima stores on Tuskulėnų Street just 350 meters away on foot. After evaluating the investment needed for the store’s renovation and the traffic, we decided to direct it towards the renovation and expansion of other stores,” informs Ernesta Vareikytė, Head of Media Relations at Maxima.

After closing the Maxima on Minties Street, almost all employees will be transferred to work in other network stores, one of them decided not to continue working in the company. During the last working week of this store, customers can take advantage of special clearance discounts.
E. Vareikytė points out that the larger network store on Tuskulėnų Street is convenient for residents of the Žirmūnai microdistrict due to the possibility of finding a wider selection of food and industrial goods in one place, as well as a variety of products in the same category, a pharmacy operating nearby, and other services.
“At the Tuskulėnų Maxima, customers find a greater variety of fresh and frozen food, long shelf-life products – groceries, as well as goods in the industrial departments. For many, the possibility to find more alternatives of the same product groups is important. Moreover, the larger store offers customers a wider selection of vegan, special, or world flavor line products, and it is possible to find a richer assortment brought for a limited time, for example, during thematic months or fairs,” says E. Vareikytė.
