According to law enforcement data, from 2019 to 2023, while serving as a member of the Prienai district municipality council, she submitted possibly false data about fuel expenses in advance reports, causing the municipality a financial damage of 3,133 euros.
Meanwhile, B. Gailienė is suspected of abuse of office, embezzlement, and document forgery while serving as a member of the Jonava district municipality council from 2020 to 2023.
According to law enforcement, by also submitting possibly false data about fuel expenses in advance reports, she caused the municipality a damage of 6,924 euros.

Currently, the STT is conducting pre-trial investigations regarding the possible misuse of local government funds in 24 municipalities.
Since 2023, the service has evaluated about 1,100 cases of possibly illegal expenses by council members in 41 municipalities. So far, about 850 council member cases have been analyzed.
