Then, on Valentine’s Day, the death of Paralympic Games star Oscar Pistorius occurred at his home in Pretoria (South Africa).
There, O. Pistorius’s girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp was shot. Four shots were fired through the bathroom door at the 29-year-old woman.
The runner known as the “Blade Runner” admitted to firing the shots but claimed he did so suspecting a home intrusion.
However, the judges thought otherwise. In 2015, O. Pistorius was sentenced to nine years in prison. The sentence ended at the beginning of 2024.
Now, the “Daily Mail” reported that the 39-year-old former Paralympian has started a new chapter in life in the South African capital, having found a new job.
It is claimed that O. Pistorius works for a company specializing in sound technology.
According to the “Daily Mail,” O. Pistorius now lives with his uncle Arnold, who had cared for him before when he lost his mother at the age of 15.

They now live in a large villa guarded by security and dogs. The property has a helipad.
O. Pistorius volunteers at the local church, where he meets his new girlfriend Rita Greyling.
“We know nothing about him and do not want to know. He is like a ghost,” a local resident is quoted as saying.
Since the murder of R. Steenkamp, O. Pistorius has not received any new advertising offers and does not participate in any serious competitions.
Previously, he was one of the most famous athletes in the world.
O. Pistorius was one of ten athletes who competed in both the Olympic and Paralympic Games.
Having won six gold medals in the Paralympic Games in 2004, 2008, and 2012, he became the first runner with amputated legs to compete in the Olympic Games – in 2012 in London, he ran the 400 m individual and relay races as part of the South African 4×400 m team.
