The son of an elderly woman from Klaipėda contacted 15min. The woman had a wooden summer house in the center of Šventoji, right next to the church, for several decades. She used to rest there during the summers. The houses stand on state land, so ownership could not be legalized.

“The priest called and said that the house must be moved. It turns out the detailed plan was changed. But no one informed us. Now they want to evict us like serfs. We didn’t receive any official letter or anything. Mom honestly paid the land use tax. She has kept all the receipts,” the son of the Klaipėda resident told the journalist.
