What led to continuing the career in the Kaunas district?
“I think the decision was influenced by the organization itself, the core of the team, the location, and the desire to prove that last season was simply bad. We are a team worthy of the playoffs, so, as they say, we still have unfinished business,” the team statement reads.
What are Š. Vasiliauskas’s goals?
“At my age, the goals are simple – to stay healthy, show my best version, pass on the accumulated knowledge to the youth, and remain competitive. However, most of all, I would like the team to succeed this season. With a new coach, we will need to quickly reorient and find a common language. I know the coach from before, so I hope this process won’t take long,” emphasized the basketball player.

In the new season, he will have a double role – working at an LKL club and playing for the “Omega-Tauras” team.
“The challenge is definitely not small, but when you want to – everything can be coordinated. I don’t want to consider in advance whether I will manage or not. I managed to coordinate commentary, now an even bigger challenge awaits. At this stage, I still have the motivation to both play and take the first steps in the other half of my career, so I am really looking forward to the start of the season,” said Š. Vasiliauskas.
