A Lithuanian-speaking guide is the ideal option for families who go on vacation together with relatives who do not speak English – grandparents, small children. Therefore, it is no surprise that there was no shortage of clients. Unfortunately, many of them now communicate daily in Facebook groups that unite those affected by Audrius Laukevičius.
“He is a simple fraudster, about whom even the Portuguese media are already writing,” say the victims who wrote to the 15min portal without mincing words. None of them have yet recovered the money paid to A. Laukevičius for the promised tours. The service was not provided to them, and the Lithuanian allegedly does not respond to demands to return the money.
A. Laukevičius has not deceived tourists from Lithuania about Madeira for the first time. As early as 2016, 15min wrote about travelers who were deceived by A. Laukevičius: people purchased his organized trip to Madeira but never went, and monetary compensation took many months to arrive.

The July 30 issue of the Madeira daily newspaper “Journal da Madeira” (“JM”) publishes an article about tourists affected by A. Laukevičius who turned to Lithuanian and Portuguese authorities. The publication notes that A. Laukevičius did not have the right to provide guide or tour guide services in Madeira.
On Friday, July 31, it was impossible to contact A. Laukevičius through all publicly listed contacts – the phones were turned off. I wrote to his social media accounts; the man asked to send questions by email. By Monday, August 3, the portal had not yet received answers. Once received, the article will be updated.
