US President Donald Trump said on Saturday that the United States and Israel have agreed to refrain from new strikes on Iran, provided that an agreement to end the conflict is reached quickly.
The US president said the agreement must include “the immediate, complete, and absolute opening of the Strait of Hormuz and the end of Iran’s nuclear threat.”

The previous ceasefire agreement under similar conditions, including the opening of the Strait of Hormuz, collapsed. Since then, Iran has tightened control over this vital waterway, and in recent weeks both countries have resumed attacks against each other.
