The second place and 3,000 euros were won by the branch manager from Alytus, Evaldas Balionis. The third and fourth places in the final were shared and each received 1,000 euros by IT specialist from Vilnius, Šarūnas Pletkus, and the head of the reader service department of Varėna district municipality public library, Vaiva Miškinė.
“For this victory, I owe many years of solving crosswords. I really like them, crosswords have tasks from various fields, so they were really useful,” the winner D. Abramavičius joyfully said.
In the game, he admitted to being interested not only in intellectual games but also in theater, history, nature, geography, travel, admiring old rock, and books that are warm in their content.
D. Abramavičius first tried his luck in the “Kas ir kodėl?” quiz almost a decade ago, then also played in the final stage but did not make it to the winners’ ranks. The new champion is happy that he managed not only to win but also to contribute to promoting his city – Vabalninkas. And appearing on TV screens himself became a local celebrity.

“People I meet on the street or in the store keep asking how it went, when they will see me on TV again,” said the “Kas ir kodėl?” winner.
D. Abramavičius plans to share his winnings with those less fortunate. He plans to donate part to the animal shelter “Empty Cages,” which recently burned down in the Kupiškis district. Moreover, the champion has another beautiful goal – to take his parents on a joint vacation to a warm place this summer.
The new season of the intellectual quiz “Kas ir kodėl?” awaits LRT TV viewers this fall.
