These comments appeared as Tehran and Washington exchanged views on an agreement aimed at ending the war that broke out on February 28 and engulfed the Middle East.
The ministry said it had received intelligence that the US and Israel would seek to “intensify economic pressure,” incite division in the country among religious and ethnic groups, and carry out sabotage and other “terrorist operations.”
It added that such actions would include large-scale smuggling of “various weapons, ammunition, and illegal communication devices, especially ‘Starlink’ devices,” used to access the internet via satellite.

For decades, Iran and Israel have waged a shadow war involving sabotage operations, including attacks on Iranian nuclear facilities and assassinations of scientists.
However, this was before last year’s 12-day war, which at the time was the first prolonged conflict between the long-term enemies, and after isolated retaliatory attacks in 2024 that did not escalate into open war.
Iran does not recognize Israel and has not maintained diplomatic relations with the United States since 1980.
