The first round performance on July 28 took place in the fully packed Palanga Concert Hall, where the play was met with enthusiastic ovations. However, for the creators, this evening was much more than a successful performance – it was an important creative stage in preparation for the biggest project presentation on September 12 at the Kaunas “Žalgiris” Arena.

According to the creators, “The Little Prince” is a living project that constantly grows and changes. Each performance becomes an opportunity to reassess the artistic decisions of the play, seek new stage forms, and refine every detail.
“We are extremely grateful to the seaside audience. The fully packed hall created an extraordinary atmosphere that is hard to describe in words. Such moments remind us that theater and music create a sense of community, connect people of different generations, and the story of ‘The Little Prince,’ which has become a classic, still speaks today about what is most important. The Palanga performance was a very important creative stage for us – we could see the play once again in a live relationship with the audience and make decisions that will help create the strongest version of this project. Now all attention is focused on the Kaunas ‘Žalgiris’ Arena, where a significant debut and a new stage in the history of ‘New Opera’ await us,” says composer and founder of “New Opera” Jonas Sakalauskas.
Preparing for the performance in Kaunas, one of Lithuania’s brightest lighting designers, Andrius Stasiulis, joined the creative team. Together with the entire creative group, he contributes to new visual solutions that will further enhance the atmosphere of the play and the stage narrative.
The musical “The Little Prince” stands out with impressive visualizations, live orchestra sound, and a team of professional performers. On stage, the audience will see Sakalas Uždavinys, Vytautas Rašimas, Marta Lipčienė, Ingrida Žliūtė, Emilija Finagėjevaitė, and other well-known Lithuanian theater and music scene performers.
On September 12, the largest, most technically complex, and visually impressive version of the musical will be presented at the Kaunas “Žalgiris” Arena, combining the latest stage solutions, impressive special effects, and all the accumulated experience of the creators.
