The military stated that it attacked “fighter shelters, satellite communication systems, and equipment storage at the Ahmad al Jaber Air Force Base in Kuwait.”
US Central Command (CENTCOM) has not yet commented on the events.
The Iranian military claimed that the strikes were carried out “in response to recent terrorist aggression by the US military against our country and its brutal attack on a residential building on Qeshm Island.”
Local media reported on Thursday that three members of one family were killed during US strikes on Qeshm Island in the strategically important Strait of Hormuz.

About 20% of the world’s oil is usually transported through this strait, but since the start of the war on February 28, Iran has effectively closed it.
The Americans, aiming to weaken Tehran’s control over this strait, have repeatedly carried out strikes against Iran’s southern coastal provinces.
