The hall will be equipped with advanced sound, lighting, and other technological systems that meet the highest standards of acoustics and stage quality. The equipment will be supplied by the Lithuanian company “Sonus Exsertus,” operating in joint venture with the company “Scenos techninis servisas.” No other hall in the Baltic countries has such systems.

“We aim for the National Concert Hall to attract the most famous orchestras and top-level performers in the world. Therefore, from the very beginning, we set extremely high quality requirements for every project decision. Now we are taking another important step in creating a space that will offer performers and audiences the same experience expected in the most modern European concert halls – from impeccable acoustics and visibility to technological flexibility in organizing events of various formats,” says Vilnius Mayor Valdas Benkunskas.
The equipment installed in the National Concert Hall will cover the entire spectrum of stage technologies – from stage engineering, lighting, sound, video, communication, and control systems to equipment necessary for the daily operation of the hall. This will ensure professional sound reinforcement, lighting, smooth stage work, and allow the hall to be flexibly adapted for events of various types. All devices and technological systems will have to meet strict quality requirements – not only their technical parameters but also reliability, compatibility, durability, and suitability for professional concert hall operation will be evaluated.
“The strength of the National Concert Hall will not be individual technologies but how they work together. Here, combined stage engineering, lighting, sound, video, and control systems will allow the hall to be easily adapted to very different events – from symphonic music concerts to contemporary performing arts, conferences, or international events. We want Lithuanian performers and world-class ensembles visiting Vilnius to have the same technical capabilities offered today by the best European concert halls. This is an investment in quality that both creators and audiences will feel,” says Laura Joffė, director of Vilnius Development Company, which manages the project of public interest objects in the capital.
It is planned that the equipment will be installed in all halls of the National Concert Hall complex, taking into account the function and needs of each space. Although the solutions used in individual halls will differ according to their purpose, all systems will be designed and integrated as a unified technological ecosystem. This will ensure more efficient equipment management, maintenance, and operation, as well as create conditions for more flexible event organization and more efficient use of technical resources.
The project pays special attention to acoustics and electroacoustics, as these areas determine how music and sound will be heard in different parts of the hall. Specific requirements for sound quality, sound pressure, and sound distribution have been set at the design stage to ensure that listeners throughout the hall experience the most even and high-quality sound possible.
Equally important is the performers’ experience. Requirements for the sound environment on stage are set so that musicians and performers can clearly hear each other, comfortably perform pieces, and make the most of the hall’s acoustic capabilities.

Advanced stage lighting solutions will also significantly contribute to the overall experience, allowing the creation of expressive visual effects and adaptation to different event formats. Meanwhile, stage engineering systems will provide the ability to flexibly transform the stage and acoustic environment according to the specific event’s needs.
The initial contract value with “Sonus Exsertus” and “Scenos techninis servisas” is 13.55 million EUR excluding VAT. However, the final value may change depending on actual needs and order volumes. The contract provides the possibility to refuse part of the equipment or additionally order necessary technological solutions according to pre-established rates.
The National Concert Hall to be built on Tauro Hill in Vilnius will consist of four halls. In a building of about 23.8 thousand sq. m, there will be about 1600 seats in the Great Hall for classical symphonic, chamber, and other music genres, about 500–700 seats in the Small Hall for theater, dance, musical events with sound reinforcement, conferences, and other events. The third hall will be dedicated to education, exhibitions, and events, and the fourth – for musicians’ and performers’ rehearsals. The building will also house cafes, a bookstore, spaces for cultural activities, an observation deck, and a lobby with a city panorama view.
Currently, intensive work on the installation of monolithic structures is underway in the project. It is planned that the main structures of the complex will be completed by the end of the year, and this stage will be marked by the traditional topping-out ceremony.
The Vilnius Development Company is responsible for the National Concert Hall project, the general contractor is UAB “Gilesta,” operating under a joint venture agreement with UAB “Kaminta.” The project was designed by “Arquivio Architects” and UAB “Cloud architektai” (Lithuania). Acoustic solutions are supervised by acoustic experts from “Nagata Acoustics” (Japan).
The construction of the National Concert Hall is planned to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2028.
