According to the pre-trial investigation data, the accused last September in a public place, taking advantage of a minor pretext, beat the victim. It was established that they struck the man at least six times in the areas of the arms, face, and chest, causing minor health impairment.
In this case, a resident of Kaunas is also accused of driving a vehicle while intoxicated (Criminal Code Article 281-1, Part 1) and evading the execution of criminal enforcement measures (Criminal Code Article 243).
It was established that one of the accused, on the same evening after the incident in the Kaunas district, violating the Road Traffic Rules requirements, drove a Volkswagen Passat passenger car while intoxicated, and when stopped by police officers, avoided the sobriety test. According to the investigation data, the accused, knowing that a criminal enforcement measure was imposed on him – a 3-year ban on driving road vehicles – ignored it and drove the mentioned car.
The Criminal Code provides for imprisonment of up to five years for minor health impairment. For driving a vehicle while intoxicated, the Criminal Code provides for a fine, arrest, or imprisonment of up to one year. The Criminal Code provides for community service, a fine, restriction of liberty, or arrest for evading the execution of criminal enforcement measures.

The criminal case has been transferred for trial to the Kaunas District Court Kaunas branch.
