Karlas Ramusis was a photographer whose work prominently featured Lithuanian cultural and artistic life. His photographs captured theater performances, actors, artists, exhibitions, and various cultural events.
Many of K. Ramusis’s works can also be found in Lithuanian theater and culture publications. He photographed New Theater performances – his photos presented the sensory performance in the dark „Why am I here?“, as well as the documentary play about poet and diplomat Oskaras Milašius „The Canary’s Prophecy“.
The photographer’s lens also captured other Lithuanian theater figures. Photos taken by K. Ramusis of actor Aleksandras Rubinovas’s one-man show „My Father“ were published in the cultural magazine „Vilnius Gallery“, commemorating actor and director, founder of the Kaunas Chamber Theater Stanislovas Rubinovas.

K. Ramusis’s work was not limited to theater alone. He photographed art exhibitions and other cultural projects, and his name can be found in international art publications. K. Ramusis was one of the photographers whose works illustrated the Baltic countries’ contemporary art publication „Echo Gone Wrong“ story about the art and technology project „Wild Bits“ in Estonia.
His photographs were also used to present the spaces created for the NATO summit held in Vilnius in 2023.

Relatives announce that it will be possible to say goodbye to Karlas Ramusis and honor his memory on July 30 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Vilnius Funeral Home, Sietyno St. 14.

At 3 p.m., the deceased will be accompanied to Karveliškės Cemetery.
