Mantas and Linas met back in 2001 when the performers participated in the Baltic States talent competition „Fizz Superstar“. Since then, the singers have maintained warm, collegial relations, and whenever they met, they talked about doing something together. Finally, the ideas have taken shape in the form of a song, and today the piece is available on all music streaming platforms.
„It’s nice, though a bit strange, that after so many years this is our first musical meeting. We are connected not only by music – our values, approach to creativity, to the listener, to family, to what we believe in and live by coincide. So I can say that Linas is close to me not only as a musician but first and foremost as a person. The energy of the song and its lyrics are exactly about that. Maybe we are different, but we walk the same path. With this creative meeting, we want to give a beautiful celebration to everyone who loves music and listens to our work.“ – shares Mantas Jankavičius about the song.
The premiere of the song „Words in the Sky“ recently took place in the packed Palanga Concert Hall at Linas Adomaitis’s concert. During the performance and rehearsals, a documentary video clip was filmed, which reaches Linas and Mantas’s fans together with the song.
As expected, during the concert performance, the audience did not let the performers go easily and demanded an encore with thunderous ovations. This pleased not only the musicians but also the video clip creators, who said that in such circumstances it is important to have more footage than just one take.
