According to the BBC, the suspect was killed when he attacked officers.
According to the police, the suspect was found on Sunday at 6 p.m. local time in a garden community area in western Berlin.
In the latest information, police state that he is believed to have “attacked our special forces with a knife”.
A firearm was used against the suspect.
“Despite immediate resuscitation efforts by the Berlin fire department, he died at the scene,” a police spokesperson said.
German media reported on Sunday that the main suspect in the deadly attack near Berlin’s Pride parade on Saturday evening is a supporter of the Islamic State (IS) group.
He had previously been convicted of crimes related to this activity.
According to newspapers “Bild” and “Spiegel”, the 21-year-old man, identified by police as Abdul B., traveled to the Middle East last year in an attempt to join IS, but was unsuccessful.

He was later convicted in Germany for “preparing a serious violent act threatening state security”.
At least one person was killed and about 15 others were injured when a car drove into a crowd near Berlin’s Pride parade, police reported on Saturday.
Officials announced on social media that “a vehicle drove into Tiergarten Park and hit and injured several people”.
The incident occurred shortly before 10 p.m. local time (11 p.m. Lithuanian time), with police later adding that they were searching for the occupants of the car.
