The publication emphasizes that Moscow is already trying to deplete Great Britain’s resources by diverting its “shadow” fleet of oil tankers around the English Channel – one of their ships was already detained there by the Royal Marines last month.

However, there is now a threat that Moscow may resort to much more serious provocations.
“There is currently a strong belief that Putin is preparing for some direct confrontation with NATO in the coming months. This is due to several factors – the belief that Trump’s attention is diverted by Iran, and signs indicating disagreements within the Ukrainian leadership,” one of the publication’s sources noted.
