According to “Welt”, a police operation also took place on Wildenbruchstraße street, where the suspect’s sister lives.

Early on Sunday morning, several teenagers and young men waited outside the apartment building until they were allowed to re-enter the cordoned-off building. One of them told “Welt” that Abdul B. lived there with several siblings and his mother.

The same man stated that Abdul B. had boasted about alleged attack plans a few months ago and spoke about his dissatisfaction with the situation in Germany.

Other young people from the same group tried to prevent the man telling these stories from speaking too openly with the journalist.

Crashed into the crowd
