Medetkos grow best in a sunny or lightly shaded spot, in loose and well-drained soil. Although the plant is not very demanding, it blooms most abundantly in moderately fertile soil. Seeds can be sown directly into the soil in spring, when the ground warms up to about 15 degrees. They germinate quite quickly – usually within one or two weeks.
