Vykintas’ achievement – four perfect scores and a diploma with honors
Vykintas Mylimas, a graduate of Šilalė Simonas Gaudėšius Gymnasium, achieved an exceptional result in this year’s matriculation examination session – he received 100-point evaluations in mathematics, physics, geography, and informatics exams. He was also awarded a matriculation diploma with honors.

“100-point evaluations are not a coincidence – especially in mathematics and informatics exams, they are determined by long-term work, consistent learning, and preparation. Although in some cases a few points short of a perfect score may depend on various circumstances, the overall result is always the consequence of many years of effort,” Vykintas Mylimas describes his recipe for success.
Vykintas’ achievement is not the only joy of Šilalė Simonas Gaudėšius Gymnasium this year. Two other gymnasium graduates earned the highest scores in state matriculation exams: Guoda Baldauskaitė scored 100 points in the Lithuanian language and literature exam and received a matriculation diploma with honors, and Matas Viliušis – 100 points in the geography exam.
For the highest results – municipal recognition
Recognizing the graduates’ work, perseverance, and achieved results, Šilalė District Municipality awarded them monetary prizes this year. For each 100-point evaluation earned in a state matriculation exam, graduates received 250 euros, and for a matriculation diploma with honors – a 500 euro prize.
This municipal recognition is also positively evaluated by one of this year’s most prominent graduates – Vykintas Mylimas, who earned four 100-point evaluations. According to him, such an initiative is an important encouragement for students to strive for the highest results.

“The prize for perfect scores in Šilalė is truly excellent and competitive – in larger cities, students often receive less recognition for such achievements. I believe that such encouragement is necessary and beneficial because it shows that students’ efforts are noticed and valued. It can also become an additional motivation to achieve the highest results,” says Vykintas.
Mayor: we want young people to know – their efforts are seen
Tadas Bartkus, the mayor of Šilalė District Municipality, says that the recognition of the best graduates is a thank you for their work, perseverance, and achieved results.
According to the mayor, the purpose of the prizes awarded by Šilalė District Municipality is to honor the graduates and at the same time thank them for 12 years of work. Such achievements require a lot of effort and perseverance, so these prizes aim to encourage students and reward them for excellent exam results.
“We wish the graduates to continue striving for academic excellence, and during and after their studies, not to forget their homeland. We hope that in the future, some of them will return to Šilalė to create their businesses, lives, and contribute to strengthening our region and all of Lithuania with their work,” says Tadas Bartkus, the mayor of Šilalė District Municipality.
