L. Rukštelienė should cease to hold the position of ambassador from August 14.
The decision on this will still have to be made by President Gitanas Nausėda.
As BNS wrote, during her diplomatic career, the new vice-minister worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MFA), the Lithuanian Embassy in Latvia, and the permanent representation to international organizations and the OSCE in Vienna.

The MFA announced last week that L. Rukštelienė is becoming a vice-minister. She will oversee transatlantic cooperation and security issues.
