According to „Kantar“ data, the awards broadcast was watched by more than 714 thousand viewers (reach), which is one of the largest entertainment content audiences in recent years. For comparison, a crowd equivalent to about 40 „Žalgiris“ arenas or 13 full Darius and Girėnas stadiums participated live and on screens at the event.

At the celebration, awards – white gold chains with inset diamonds – were given out in thirteen categories, and performances were held and surprising collaborations were presented by Džordana Butkutė with „Šeškės“ and Gablielius Vagelis, Donatas Montvydas with Justinas Jaručius, „Žemaitukai“ with „8 Kambarys“, Gabrielė Vilkilcytė with Giedrė, „Despotin Fam“ with Pijus Opera and Cherri, Adomas Vyšniauskas with his father Ovidijus Vyšniauskas, Petunija with the Latvian group „Tautumeitas“, a quintet of Lithuanian music legends – Egidijus Sipavičius, Rosita Čivilytė, Neda Malūnavičiūtė, Česlovas Gabalis, Steponas Januška. The broadcast was started by famous musicians Lukas and Petras Geniušai, Petras Vyšniauskas, Tomas Varnagiris and others, and for the final chord, the „Eurovision“ stars „Abor & Tynna“ took the stage.
The event stood out from others because only live music was played all evening, no backing tracks. More than 400 professionals from various fields worked behind the scenes. On stage, counting not only performers but also musicians and dancers, about 150 people appeared.

And although there were rumors that this event organized for the 35th birthday of the M1 radio station would be a one-time event, the date for the 2026 show was announced at the end of the first M1 music awards – December 9. On the same evening, the first, cheaper tickets for the upcoming event appeared on the Bilietai.lt platform.

„There is less than half a year until this year’s M1 music awards, organizational work is successfully underway on all fronts. We are refining the concept, consulting with performers, arranging the program. This year everything is easier and no one needs to prove anything anymore – everyone saw the high level of the event. We received especially many compliments for choosing a more difficult path: both in terms of unexpected musical collaborations and strictly deciding not to use any backing tracks – only live music. This year the goal is to raise the quality bar even higher – everything will be louder, brighter, more impressive,“ says M1 program director and host Arnoldas Eisimantas.
The M1 music awards also stand out in another aspect – the best of the year are chosen not by a jury, but by the public. Last year, just as voting began, people voted 100 thousand times in the very first day. In total, during the entire voting period, more than 755 thousand votes were cast for favorites in different categories. Nominees were selected based on data collected by the AGATA association, music platform streams, and concert organizers’ information.
