Volunteer rescuer Andres Carvajal said he noticed a cat during the search in a residential complex in La Guaira, which had turned into rubble.

“We saw the cat, it got scared and went back into the depths of the building,” Carvajal told the AFP news agency. It is unclear when it got trapped.
