But later, after some years (in 2004), having come to live in Vilnius and seeing that one of its districts is actually called Šnipiškės, I remembered that show. Moreover, fate arranged it so that I then settled on Minties Street in Žirmūnai, which is a very close neighborhood to Šnipiškės.

And, you know, then, after more than a decade since seeing that show, with Lithuania already being an EU member, chickens were still wandering in Šnipiškės (I believe, not the same ones), children were still kicking a ball on dusty gravel streets (also not the same as in the show) and it seemed that nothing had changed much in that district during that time.
