Karolis Jovaiša immediately took control of the conditions and demonstrated a fantastic time of 1:05.916 min in the superpole qualifying.

Benjamin Barker (Rimo Adero), Max Tubben (Connect Pay), Karolis Jovaiša (“Bio Circle”), Saulius Jonaitis (Batic Karting Academy), Simas Juodviršis (Rinvest), Romet Reisin (LIK), Robertas Kupčikas (Porche Lietuva) and Markus Kajak (Ovoko). Who will be the fastest?

Teams are divided into two qualifying groups based on speed. Each team’s qualifying time is calculated by averaging the results of both drivers. This increases competition between teams, not just between drivers.

During qualifying, there are two 40-minute sessions where cars are grouped by classes. Two drivers must drive one car, and the final result counts the fastest lap times recorded by both athletes. After these qualifying runs, the ten fastest will go out on the track again for the “Super Pole” runs.

Group 2 qualifying

The fastest in the GTO class was Markus Kajak from the “OVOKO Dream 2 Drive” team. He recorded a lap time of 1:08.024 with the “Porsche GT3 CUP” car. Among GT3, last year’s winner Karolis Jovaiša recorded the best time – with the “Bio-Circle & HSG by SWAG” team’s “AUDI R8 LMS GT3 EVO II” car, he completed the track in 1:07.633.

It is important to save for the “Superpole” run, so some drivers may try to be clever.

Group 1 qualifying

Here (in the slower group) drove GT4, TC4, and SP3 class cars. The fastest time in the GT4 class was recorded by Vilius Reškevičius from the “Baltic Karting Academy”. He completed the track in 1:13.439. In the TC4 class, the fastest was Markas Šilkunas from “Contribee.com racing” – with the “BMW G20 Turbo cup” car, he recorded a lap time of 1:20.264. In the SP3 class, Max Tubben performed best in qualifying. With the “ConnectPay-BMW Kestauto Powered by SONAX” team’s “BMW M4 Silhouette” car, he completed the track in 1:08.477.
