Before using acid, it is necessary to ensure that it is suitable for the specific product. Decorated glass, crystal, and items with sprayed coating may require special care.
Adjust the dishwasher
If the water is hard, check the settings of the built-in water softener, and whether there is special salt and rinse aid. It is important to use these products only in their designated compartments.
Excess detergent does not always improve the result. If the water is soft, an excessive dose and a hot, long program can accelerate glass corrosion.
What not to do
Metal sponges, knives, and abrasive powders should not be used. They will leave scratches that will no longer be possible to remove.
If the cloudiness does not disappear and the surface remains matte, the damage may be in the very top layer of the glass. Restoring transparency in such cases is usually no longer possible.
