“The Japanese shipbuilding industry is currently facing serious challenges, including a decline in the number of skilled workers and a labor shortage caused by declining birth rates and an aging population,” the company said.

“At the same time, global efforts to reduce environmental impact are driving global demand for low-emission or zero carbon dioxide emission ships, making it a priority for the entire shipbuilding industry to expand construction capacity and increase productivity,” it added.
