“Some say that in case of an accident you should go to the second hospital (LSMU Kaunas Hospital – editor’s note) on Josvainiai Street. You go there and they don’t accept you, even though there are zero people waiting. And I already know more than one person who was sent to another place.
On June 26, I had to experience this myself. And when I arrived and told the Kaunas Clinics that the Emergency Department operating on Josvainiai Street did not help and sent me to them, the staff did not hide: oh, they don’t have much there,” the reader named the problem that caused confusion.
Lack of clarity
Faced with such a situation, Karolina wondered: then what are the jobs created for and why is the department operating in Josvainiai called emergency care, what then is that emergency care?
