At Darius and Girėnas Stadium, “Kauno Žalgiris” took the lead after a goal by Amine Benchaib, then slightly gave up the initiative to the opponents and conceded a goal at the end of the match.

FK “Kauno Žalgiris” held their last training session at the “Fadil Vokrri” stadium in Pristina on the eve of the match, and before the training, the team’s head coach Željko Sopičius participated in a press conference.

“Both teams have equal chances to win and advance. It is very important for us to maintain concentration. The draw in Kaunas is neither a good nor a bad result, since the away goals rule no longer applies. We have 90 minutes, after which the better team will advance, and the last 3-0 victory gives us confidence in our strength,” said the Croatian at the press conference.

Žalgiris player Leo Ribeiro also shared his thoughts.

“We are ready. This match is very important to us. Good pitch, good weather, so a good game awaits. We have to fight,” the Brazilian told Žalgiris.lt.

The attacking footballer admitted that in the first duel in Kaunas they managed to see the level of the opponent, but this did not diminish their belief in their own strength.

“They are a good team, they are really strong and know how to play. As the coach mentioned, we are preparing and will try to find their weaknesses. I believe we have a good chance to advance,” said the footballer.
