Hotel staff performed heart massage and used a defibrillator on him, trying to restore his heart rhythm, but by the time paramedics arrived, his heart had stopped. Attempts to save his life were unsuccessful, and he was declared dead at the scene, writes the “Daily Mail”.

The incident occurred on Saturday, around 11:30 a.m., and the police are currently conducting an investigation. A Civil Guard representative confirmed: “On Saturday morning in Ibiza, at a hotel in the Cala Tarida resort, a 64-year-old British tourist died after the incident. Officers are informing the local court.”
The police sent to the scene said they did not notice any obvious blows on the man’s body that would indicate he hit something on the slide or in the water. The unnamed Brit was declared dead at 12:30 p.m., about an hour after the first emergency signal was raised.

A well-informed source said: “The investigations will help determine whether this man had any health problems before entering the water. He entered the pool via the water slide. The man was staying at the hotel with relatives, including his wife.”
Last month, four children from the United Kingdom drowned in pools in Spain. One of them was a three-year-old girl who was urgently taken to the hospital after being found “floating face down” in a pool in Mallorca last night. Her parents rescued her from the water, and the arriving police and paramedics took over, performing resuscitation at the scene.
However, it was reported that the next morning after being admitted to the hospital due to a very weak pulse, her condition at the “Son Espases” hospital (in Palma, the capital of Mallorca) was still “very serious.” It was later confirmed that the child died.
