This week he arrived in Vilnius and, after passing a medical examination, signed a contract on Wednesday that will be valid until the end of the 2028 season.
The 191 cm tall defender represented the Bratislava “Slovan” team last season. With them, the footballer became the Slovak champion and had the opportunity to play in UEFA tournaments.
“Sidoine was a free agent before the player registration period ended, so he can be registered in the team this season. He is a tall, physically strong left-footed central defender who has already played in the Portuguese and Slovak leagues. We hope he will increase competition in our team’s defense line and become a serious reinforcement both this season and in the future,” said Žalgiris sports director Giedrius Klevinskas about the newcomer.
S. Fogning began his football career in his native Cameroon, at the YOSA club.
In 2023, the defender moved to Europe and joined the Portuguese team SC “Coimbrões”.
In February 2025, the Cameroonian joined one of the most famous Portuguese clubs, “Boavista”. In half a year in the country’s top league, he played 13 consecutive matches, spending 90 minutes on the field in each.

In the summer, the defender was loaned to the Bratislava “Slovan” club. In Slovakia, he briefly played in the national championship and cup, as well as appearing on the field in the UEFA Europa League qualifiers and the UEFA Conference League main stage.
He will be the second footballer from Cameroon in “Žalgiris” – two decades ago, defender Bertrand Ngapounou also played in the Lithuanian capital.
The Vilnius team will meet Marijampolė “Sūduva” away on Sunday, and on September 16 will host “Kauno Žalgiris” at home.
