“Without him, the tournament will never be as successful or profitable again!” declared D. Trump.
D. Trump’s support for the FIFA leader differs from the position of the US Soccer Federation – it, together with the Canadian Soccer Federation and Central American and Caribbean football organizations, issued a statement criticizing G. Infantino.
G. Infantino, seeking re-election next March, denies allegations of misconduct, and FIFA expressed support for its president, calling the attacks “coordinated and ongoing efforts by certain individuals to harm” the organization.
