In Lithuania on Monday morning, compared to Friday, the average prices of gasoline and diesel decreased by 0.59% and 0.35% respectively, while the average price of LPG increased by 0.51 percent. Fuel prices at gas stations in our country usually increase on Tuesdays and are gradually reduced on other days until the weekend. Retail prices are also influenced by increased wholesale fuel prices and more expensive oil.

Information about fuel prices was provided to the Lithuanian Energy Agency (LEA) on August 24 by 69 fuel trading companies operating 712 gas stations.
Data on fuel prices obtained from gas stations by 10 a.m. on August 24 show that the lowest diesel price was at the “Alauša” network gas station in Vilnius and the “Neste” network gas station in Tauragė – 1.939 Eur/l.
The highest diesel price was at sixteen “Viada” network gas stations and seven “Circle K” network gas stations – 2.199 Eur/l.
Diesel prices at gas stations on Monday morning ranged from 1.939 Eur/l to 2.199 Eur/l, with the average diesel price being 2.046 Eur/l, or 0.35% less than on Friday (August 21), when it was 2.054 Eur/l.
The lowest gasoline price on Monday morning was at the “Alauša” network gas station in Vilnius – 1.639 Eur/l.
The highest gasoline price was at sixteen “Viada” network gas stations and six “Circle K” network gas stations – 1.929 Eur/l.
Gasoline prices at gas stations on Monday morning ranged from 1.639 Eur/l to 1.929 Eur/l, with the average gasoline price being 1.762 Eur/l, or 0.59% less than on Friday (August 21), when it was 1.773 Eur/l.
The lowest LPG price on Monday morning was at four “Madalva” network gas stations and the “Saurida” network gas station in Klaipėda – 0.670 Eur/l.
The highest LPG price was at the UAB “Tumasa“ gas station in Mažeikiai district municipality (Židikiai) – 0.940 Eur/l.
LPG prices at gas stations on Monday morning ranged from 0.670 Eur/l to 0.940 Eur/l, with the average LPG price being 0.769 Eur/l, or 0.51% more than on Friday (August 21), when it was 0.765 Eur/l.
The wholesale gasoline price in Lithuania on August 21 was 1.66 Eur/l, and the wholesale diesel price was 1.97 Eur/l (on August 20, the wholesale gasoline price was 1.65 Eur/l, and the wholesale diesel price was 1.97 Eur/l).
The Brent oil price on the market on August 20 was 94.39 USD/bbl (on August 19 – 93.78 USD/bbl).
