“The National Stadium is one of the most important sports infrastructure projects in Lithuania, so public interest in its construction is completely natural. Since we cannot invite everyone to the construction site, we have created the opportunity to watch the process online,” says Vilnius Mayor Valdas Benkunskas.
The live broadcast camera is installed to cover the entire main construction zone. The broadcast is planned to be shown until the opening of the National Stadium.
The National Stadium is part of a multifunctional complex for health promotion, education, culture, and employment stimulation. It will consist of a total of eight buildings: the National Stadium with a sports museum, a sports arena, three football training fields, one of which includes a warm-up area for athletics, an athletics stadium, a culture and education center with a library, and a 300-seat kindergarten.

The complex being created will provide athletes with modern training and competition conditions, and the city with a new space for events. This will not only promote the development of sports but also increase tourism and contribute to stimulating the city’s economy.
According to the project contract, the concessionaire undertakes to complete the construction and hand over the works (including certification) by the end of February 2028. However, the concessionaire has publicly announced plans to complete the stadium construction in the fourth quarter of 2027.
