Two women targeted by scammers: over 62 thousand euros in losses

On Friday, officials received a report from a woman born in 1947 that unknown persons, speaking Lithuanian with a Russian accent and introducing themselves as bank employees, fraudulently extorted 17.5 thousand euros from her. The victim stated that the fraudsters called her on Thursday, around 11 o’clock.

A woman born in 1948 also contacted the police. She reported that from the beginning of April until May 22, an unknown person, communicating in Russian and introducing himself as a bank security employee, called her several times and fraudulently extorted 45 thousand euros from her.
