“Traffic is congested, but vehicles are passing through. A technical assistance truck has arrived, and a second technical assistance car carrier is awaited to remove the second vehicle,” the Vilnius County Police Communications Department reported to the portal 15min at about 8:40 a.m.
The police previously announced that at 6:47 a.m. this morning, a report was received that in Vilnius, on Ukmergės Street, near the “Senukai” shopping center, cars “Audi” (electric car) and “Honda CR-V” collided. After the collision, the “Honda” SUV overturned, and the driver was rescued (the man was not trapped, so firefighters did not need to carry out this mission).
The accident occurred at an intersection controlled by traffic lights.
The police do not yet have more precise information about the injured from the medical staff.

Vilnius residents saw the traffic jam almost from the BIG shopping center, located a few kilometers from the incident site near the mentioned other shopping center.
The drivers’ assistance app “Waze” showed that traffic difficulties had not disappeared even two hours after this collision.
