The German Air Force (“Luftwaffe”) uses a specially adapted “Airbus A319-133CJ”, with the tactical registration number 15+03, for multilateral “Open Skies” treaty observation and inspection missions.
This aircraft is known as the A319OH (“Offener Himmel”, German for “Open Sky”). It has distinctive tail markings, advanced digital sensor and camera systems.

As 15min confirmed with representatives of the Lithuanian Armed Forces, the activity of allied military aircraft in the Baltic region is a routine part of NATO operations, so flights of various countries’ aircraft in Lithuanian airspace are conducted periodically.
“The flight of this aircraft is known to the Lithuanian Armed Forces and is carried out according to established procedures with the necessary permits. Since this is an aircraft used by allies, we cannot comment in detail on its specific tasks or nature of activities.
