Our country’s delegation took 9th place in it.
One of the shooters, Aistė Kundrotaitė, shared her feelings with the 15min editorial team.
We had one training day during which we could check the equipment, heights, understand how everything works, what the targets are like, how they are lowered after the shot, how points are awarded, and other things. We shot for five days in individual and team competitions. 11 shooters and a gunsmith went to the competition.
It was a completely new shooting range for everyone, everything was completely different from what we are used to. 8 shooters had to shoot for the team, other team members had to write down the points of other countries’ teams and monitor their own team’s points to ensure they were correctly recorded on the sheet. Everyone had their duties. Looking at the preparation of other countries’ teams, Lithuanians still have a lot to learn. The problem is that in Lithuania we do not have a place to train for this type of competition.

Also, other countries receive large funding from sponsors, they are financed by the state, so their budget for preparing for competitions exceeds six figures. We are glad that Lithuanians, with their preparation and finances, managed to come and not finish last. The Lithuanian team took 9th place – this is a fantastic achievement, we are among the strongest teams in the world!
