Today Bacary Sané underwent cheekbone surgery. After the injury sustained in yesterday’s match against Vilnius “Žalgiris”, examinations showed that the cheekbone was fractured in two places.

The surgery lasted about 3 hours and was complex and demanding. During it, three incisions were made and five metal plates were inserted. Bacary feels better today than yesterday, but he faces a long and difficult recovery process. This season is already over for him, and he will have to miss at least three months without football.
FC “Džiugas” club and the entire community send Bacary strength and support. Right now, his health and smooth recovery are the most important.

We also cannot fail to mention the episode during which Bacary was injured. A foul in this episode was not recorded, although the consequences of the collision were very painful for the player.
