It is reminded that under European Union sanctions, it is prohibited to transport currency banknotes of EU member states to Russia, except for exceptions provided by legislation for personal use. Customs practice records cases where attempts to export euros to Russia are considered not only as cash smuggling but also as violations of international sanctions.
An administrative offense report was drawn up for this case, and the illegally transported 1,130 euros were seized. Such violations are subject to an administrative fine and confiscation of money.
