Latvian border guards turned back 25 migrants on Saturday, and there were no attempts to illegally enter the country at the Polish border on Friday.

So far this year, almost 1.4 thousand illegal migrants have been denied entry to Lithuania. Last year, there were more than 1.6 thousand attempts to enter the country illegally from Belarus in unauthorized places, and the year before that this number was 1002.
Since the beginning of the migration crisis caused by Belarus, Lithuanian border guards have prevented 26 thousand foreigners from entering the country illegally.

The influx of migrants to the eastern EU members from Belarus began in 2021, with the West accusing the Minsk regime of organizing it.
